The boys and girls indoor track and field team looks promising this year. Though the group is less experienced than in previous years, they have a great team dynamic and will rely upon key players to help them win this year. Sydney Caretti, field events coach, said, “The team is looking for great friendships continuing and developing - the vibe in the Field House is competitive but also supportive.” Head coach David Grady said, “We have a largely inexperienced team this year. Many of the athletes are new to indoor track & field. The attitude of the athletes has been one of willingness to engage in the sport and to try a number of different events. We hope that the athletes will have a great experience and see significant improvement.” Both coaches mentioned the importance of the experienced leaders, such as Anne Sehon ‘25, Hannah King ‘23, and Erika Sowah ‘24. Grady said, “Senior Hannah King is the defending champion in the high jump in both the MAPL and PAISAA. She is the indoor school record holder in that event. Tenth grader Anne Sehon was runner up in the 800m in both the MAPL and PAISAA last year. She is the indoor school record holder in that event.” The Storm has their home opener meet in the Hale Field house on Friday.
