In the case of the Mercersburg wrestling team, friendship, team bonding, and hard work are at the center of their esprit de corps. These values will contribute to their success in the season ahead for the Blue Storm. The team took third at the Admiral Holloway Tournament on December 3, making for an already strong start to the season. “Hard work and persistence are the two most important things for the team,” said team manager, Chloe Allis ‘25. “The conditioning workouts are really hard, but everyone does a really good job at persevering through them.” Alex Forrester ‘23 added, “I’ve come miles from where I was. The work is definitely paying off.” As for their previous and upcoming performances this season, Forrester said, “We’re building. We lost a lot of people last year but I’m proud of how we’ve performed and how far we’ve already come and I think we’re gonna do really well.” The wrestling team faces its next challenge in a dual tournament at home on Saturday.
